Women who are more than 12 weeks (84 days) pregnant will receive an SMS with a QR code-based e-voucher on their mobile phones, allowing them to avail free sonography at any listed private center. If a doctor recommends a repeat sonography, another free voucher will be provided.
Steps to Avail Maa Voucher Yojana Benefits
Dr. Jagdish Soni, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Kota, explained that pregnant women who visit government medical institutions on the designated Prime Minister's Safe Motherhood Days (9th, 18th, and 27th of each month) can avail of this scheme. Pregnant women who are 84 days or more into their pregnancy can undergo free sonography under this scheme. To avail of the benefits, the pregnant woman must bring her Jan Aadhar card and mobile phone to the medical institution, where an OTP will be used to issue the voucher, which is valid for 30 days. If, for any reason, the woman is unable to undergo the sonography within the stipulated time, the validity of the voucher can be extended by another 30 days, but only once.
Sonography at Registered Hospitals Across the State
Dr. Soni further stated that the Maa Voucher Yojana is available to all pregnant women in Rajasthan. Under this scheme, women can avail free sonography services at any registered government or private hospital in Rajasthan. A pregnant woman from one district can even undergo sonography in another district. To avail of this service, the woman must bring her Jan Aadhar card and mobile number to the medical institution. The voucher will be issued via SMS after the pregnant woman’s consent is verified using an OTP
Financial Aspects of Maa Voucher Yojana
Under the Maa Voucher Yojana, private institutions will be reimbursed INR 450 for each sonography performed. The process will involve issuing vouchers through the PCTS software, recording the sonography data in the IMPACT software, and uploading the sonography reports for verification through the OJAS software. Upon verification, the Medical and Health Department will approve the payment, which will be transferred directly to the sonography center's account.
